Terms and Conditions
Please read through our terms and conditions carefully. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions of sale:
1. Booking Deposit
- A non-refundable/returnable deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking.
- If payment is not received at the time of enquiry, your appointment is not confirmed and may be offered to someone else.
2. Appointment Rescheduling
- If you are unable to attend your appointment, 48 hours' notice must be given in writing to reschedule.
- We understand that last-minute issues may occur, especially with children, and will do our best to reschedule. However, this may not always be possible.
2.1. Rescheduling More Than Once
- If you reschedule more than once, your booking deposit will be retained.
- A new booking deposit will be required to rebook.
3. Quotation and Final Payment
- The cost of your cast will be quoted at the time of enquiry. By paying the deposit, you agree to complete the order as quoted.
- Final payment is due upon completion of your product within 7 days. If payment is not received within this window, a late payment fee of £25 will be charged - 24 hours notice will be given before incurring the late payment fee.
3.1. Adding Items to Your Order
- It may be possible to add items by duplicating casts. Any requests must be made in writing, and we will respond within 24 hours to confirm feasibility and additional costs.
- The new price must be agreed in writing.
4. Booking Form and Changes to Your Order
- A booking form will be completed on the day of your appointment to finalise all details.
- If you change your mind on colour themes or other particulars, you can request changes in writing. However, if orders have already been placed, we may not be able to accommodate these changes.
5. Messy Casting Process
- Alginate used during the casting process can be messy. We advise you to wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
- We hold no responsibility for any casting material left on your or your baby’s clothing.
6. Imperfect Moulds
- Moulds may not be usable if movement occurs during setting. If your moulds are not perfect, we will need to reschedule your appointment.
- This is a normal occurrence and notice will be given within 24 hours if the moulds need to be retaken.
7. Inspection of Products
- Please inspect your items upon collection or delivery.
- Although we thoroughly check our products before completion, we advise you to do the same. Once inspected and collected/delivered we accept no responsibility for any faults.
8. Lead Times and Delivery
- Lead times are typically 10-12 weeks. You will be contacted when your product is finished and ready for collection.
- If you have a specific date you need the product by, please inform us at the time of booking so we can confirm if we can meet your request.
8.1. Delivery Requests
- Delivery can be arranged for an additional fee. Requests for delivery must be made in writing, and we will respond within 24 hours.
9. Bespoke Products
- All products are completely bespoke and made to order. Therefore, refunds or exchanges cannot be offered.
10. Use of Photographs
- Photographs of your finished items may be used to advertise across our social media channels and website. This may include any photos you emailed to us or engraved name plaques.
- If you do not consent to sharing personal data associated with your products, please opt out on the booking form completed on the day of your casting appointment.
10.1. Opting Out After Consent
- If you change your mind and wish for certain features to be hidden or blurred, you may request this in writing while your item is in production.
- Once your item has been completed, and consent has been given by default, we reserve the right to use any images of the finished product.
11. Handmade Products
- All items are completely handmade. Whilst casts are made by Baby Bean Castings, we outsource to local framing companies and engraving specialists whose work is also completely handmade. There will therefore be some variation from one product to another, including but not limited to display items.
